1:38 Women’s Conference Registration: www.1:38women.com EVENT IS FREE (Donations are accepted) Host parish: Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sixth Annual Catholic Women’s conference is less than one month away! Be a part of it! The name 1:38 Women is based on the theme of Luke 1:38: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” This year the theme of the conference is “BEE the ATTITUDE!”, relating to Mathew 5:12 -- “Rejoice and be glad.” The conference will be held on Saturday, March 20, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and the women from our parish will gather to pray, reflect, and be inspired. An excellent Lenten preparation for Easter. All Covid-19 precautions will be observed. Virtually via Zoom at Assumption Parish Hall. Master of Ceremonies will be Fr. Larry Richards. The 1:38 Women’s Conference will be via Zoom in the Parish Hall. The morning program consists of two amazing speakers. Caralyn Collar is the writer and speaker behind the blog, BeautyBeyondBones. It has recently been named one of the Top Three Eating Disorder Recovery Sites on the WorldwideWeb. She’s an actress and writer in New York City. Having battled a severe case of anorexia and Ulcerative Colitis, she now uses her story of total restoration to positively impact others, and offer Christ’s hope and encouragement for those with eating disorders, and other forms of adversity. Her book, Bloom is now available! Alyssa Bormes uses humor, analogy, and an innate gift of storytelling, to help ignite in her audiences a newfound sense of wonder in the Church. Her passion is to inspire others to take on greater personal responsibility for their faith and to grow in spiritual maturity. Alyssa currently teaches Theology at the Chesterton Academy in Hopkins, MN. She is the host of “Catholic Kaleidoscope” on Radio Maria where she and her guests have conversations about the Faith that include both ritual and formality, and beauty in the everyday, which encompasses joy, woundedness, and wonder. Two life-giving Sacraments – Reconciliation and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be in the church. Fr. Daniel Finnerty and other priests will offer Reconciliation and Fr.
